Our Mission
Our mission is to lead research the implementation and evaluation of integrated models of care for older adults living with complex and chronic health conditions.
Here, you will find information on our research projects, related resources, and opportunities to get involved. Our work is geared toward building a healthcare system that is senior-friendly, and patient and family-centred.

Behaviour Success Agent (BSA)
The BSA project aims to evaluate the implementation, effectiveness, and scalability of a specialized care program for people living with dementia in acute care hospitals. Learn more about the BSA project here.

This scoping review includes searching the available literature for dementia integrated care models across Canada.

NSM SGS Behaviour Success Agents
North Simcoe Muskoka Specialized Geriatric Services | June 14, 2024
We collaborated with partner NSM acute care hospitals to implement Behaviour Success Agents (BSAs) effective January 2023. This program reduces the impact of responsive behaviour on Alternate Level of Care (ALC) days in the hospitals.

Dr. Katie Bingham, a Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care geriatric psychiatrist, received a 3-year, $750,000 grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to study hospital approaches to dementia care.
